Clean Up HTML using Dreamweaver 4

 

Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 includes a tool which cleans up HTML created with MS Word 97/98 and 2000.

1. From the Commands menu, choose Clean Up Word HTML....
   
   
   
   
2. In the Clean Up HTML from pull-down, choose Word 97/98 or Word 2000.
3. Select all of the check boxes.
4. Optional: Click on the Detailed tab to see the specific tags that will be removed.
   
   
   
   
5. Click OK to strip out the Word-specific code.
6. When the Results box pops up, click OK to close it.
