Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences

Use ANGEL to Access Core Curriculum

The College of Agricultural Sciences has developed a core curriculum for the staff and faculty. This core curriculum will cover skills for Microsoft Office and other software. The courses you need to cover will be determined by your job responsibilities. Please check with your CED or RD if you're not certain which courses are necessary for you.

The Netg courses have 2 training paths to choose from. You can take the entire course with a Pre & Post Assessment or you can select a specific topic to concentrate your learning needs.

Configure Your Computer

  1. Web-Based Training courses talk to you so if you share an office, you may want to use headphones or turn down your speakers so you don't distract other staff in your office.
  2. If you have Windows XP SP2 or any other Pop-up Blocker, Pop-ups need to be enabled.
    1. From the Tools menu of Internet Explorer, go to Pop-up blocker. Slide right to Pop-up Blocker Settings.
    2. In the Address of the Web site to allow, type wbt.psu.edu
    3. Click Add
    4. Click Close
  3. Web-Based Training likes to use the screen resolution 1024 x 768. If your resolution is something other than 1024 x 768, you may get a screen resolution warning - click No to continue as is.
    1. If you want to change your screen resolution to 1024 x 768, go to the Start menu and choose Control Panels. Double click to open the Display properties dialog box.
    2. Click the Settings tab
