Create a Script in FileMaker Pro v4

Scripts in FileMaker Pro help you do automated steps quickly and efficiently. This How To walks you through the general steps of creating a script.

NOTES:

1. Before you create the Script, go to the layout you want to use in the Script.
2. Find the records that you want to use for the report or layout.
3. Sort the records that way you want them sorted in the report

How To Create a Script

1. Open the file you want to create a script.
2. Go to the layout you want to use for your script.
3. Sort the records appropriately.
4. From the Scripts menu choose ScriptMaker.
5. Type the name of the Script.
6. Click Create.
7. Edit the steps as needed.
8. Add steps as needed.
9. You may need to double-click on the step to modify it.
10. Click OK.
11. Click Done.

The Script now appears under the Scripts menu.
