Selecting Non-Continuous Cells in Excel


If you want to format cells that aren't adjacent to each other, it can be a tedious task. But Excel allows to to select non-contiguous cells very easily.




How To Select non-contiguous cells:

  1. Select the first cell or range.
  2. Press and hold the Ctrl Key.
  3. Select the other cells and/or ranges that you want to add the your selection while holding down the Ctrl key.
  4. Apply formatting, etc as normal and all of the selected cells will be affected.
  5. Deselect the range.
