Create a Combination Chart in Excel

You can combine two or more chart types in a single chart. This type of chart is called a combination chart and is commonly used to show different types of information.

 

When you use a combination chart you may want to add another axis to display the values.

How To Create a Combination Chart:

1. Select the required data series.
2. From the Chart menu choose Chart Type to open the Chart Type dialog box.
3. Select the required chart type from the Chart type list.
4. Click OK.
5. Verify that Apply to selection is checked.

How to Create a Secondary Value Axis:

1. Select the required data series.
2. From the Format menu choose Selected Data Series to open the Format Data Series dialog box.
3. Click the Axis tab.
4. Select Secondary Axis.
5. Click OK.
