Add a Public Folder to Your Favorites in Outlook

Are you tired of digging through all the Public Folders in Outlook to find the one you need? You can add the Public Folder(s) you need to access quickly into your Favorites folder.

How To Add a Public Folder to Your Favorites

  1. In Outlook, open up Public Folders by clicking on the + sign in front of the word Public Folder.
  2. Navigate to the Folder you want.
  3. Right-click on that folder, select Add to Favorites.
  4. When the window opens, you can name your favorite.
  5. Click the Options button.

Note: This allows you to check whether you want subfolders added also.

  6. If you have subfolders within the Public folder, you probably will want to check the Add Subfolders choices. Read through for the appropriate one for you.
  7. Click Add

Note: You can also add just a particular calendar or shared documents by following the steps above. Because there wouldn't be any subfolders, you don't need to click the Options button. Click Add.

How To View Your Public Folder Favorites

  1. Click your Favorites Folder (it's the 1st choice under Public folders).

The Public Folder you added should be there now for easier access.
  2. Select it.
