How to remove existing HP Install Network Printer Wizard

Note: This will require a computer restart. Please close all open programs.

1. Click Start, then Control Panel.
2. Open the Add or Remove Programs control panel.
3. Scroll down in the list.
4. Highlight the first "HP Install Network Printer Wizard" listing. Click Change/Remove.
5. Click OK to continue the uninstall.
6. If a locked file is detected, click Reboot.
7. When the uninstall completes, the "Yes, I want to restart my computer now." should be selecetd.
8. Click Finish.
9. Restart the computer and log back in.

How to install HP Install Network Printer Wizard Version 4.00

Note: This will require a computer restart. Please close all open programs.

1. Click this link to download the hpjsi_en_v4 software.
2. At the File Download window that appears, choose Save.
3. Save the file hpjsi_en_v4.exe to a convenient location, such as the the Desktop.
4. Click Save. Click Close. Exit Internet Explorer.
5. From the desktop, double-click on the "hpjsi_en_v4.exe" file.
6. Click Run. Click Next.
7. At the license agreement screen, click Yes.
8. Click Next. Click Next.
9. Wait while the program is installed. Allow the process to finish completely.
10. When done, click Finish.
11. Delete the "hpjsi_en_v4.exe" file.
12. Restart the computer and log back in.

Test the Wizard

1. From the Start menu choose All Programs, then HP Install Network Printer Wizard and then HP Install Network Printer Wizard.
2. The program will open. In the lower right corner of the Wizard window you will see the version number. If it says Version 4.00, you have the newer version.
3. Click Next.
4. Choose "Wired". Click Next.
5. Click "Select from a list of detected printers (recommended)", click Next.
6. If you receive a message about the firewall being configure to allow the HP Install Network Printer Wizard access to the network, click Next.
7. The Wizard should find the HP printers in your office.
8. Click Cancel. Click Yes to close the wizard.
