Symantec AntiVirus should be configured to check for newer virus defintions on a daily basis. You can check for these updates manually at any time.

NOTE: These steps are written for College Enterprise (EN) Computers with Windows XP.


Run LiveUpdate Check
  1. Right Click on the Symantec AntiVirus Client icon ( see below, looks like a Yellow Shield) in the lower right corner of the screen and then Left Click on the words Open Symantec AntiVirus.



  2. Click the LiveUpdate button. Click Next. Click Finish.

    NOTE:
    If new defintions are downloaded, they will not take effect until you restart the computer!
